There are two areas that you want to always focus on especially if you’re just starting out in the Network Marketing profession. The first one is how to market on social media (the non-salesy way) as well as how to message potential customers or business partners about your new business (the non-hypey way).

Have you ever been really excited to watch a new movie that’s coming out next month and you constantly see movie teasers being advertised on television and sometimes on Facebook? I know I have! I get all excited and curious to see what’s coming!

Most new Network Marketing “newbs” want to build a network marketing business quickly and will jump on Facebook to announce, “I just joined XYZ company! My second massively valuable tip for getting started in Network Marketing is prospecting and talking with as many people as you can. However, I would focus on saying less to more people and prospecting with urgency.


What’s “prospecting with urgency?”


Be sure to watch the video mentioned above for an exact plan and how I message prospects with urgency, but for example… most new Network Marketing distributors will spend 5 hours talking to 5 people and go back and forth with a multi level marketing business plan and arguing with people that it’s not starting a pyramid business (yada yada yada).


A smarter tip for getting started is to spend 2 hours talking to 50 people. If they have to think about it, fine…move on to the next person. I would rather get right to the point and see if prospects are open to a side income and if they are, show them a video that best explains the opportunity which allows you to go talk to more people in the meantime.


This is building with urgency.


In conclusion…


When you’re brand new and you’re excited about starting your new MLM business, I know it’s difficult to NOT shout out to the world that you’ve just started a new business as well as have the urge to NOT tell prospects everything about everything with your products and new business opportunity.


Also, I hope that you were brought into your new business to treat it like a business and not a lottery ticket. There’s so much to learn about this profession. It takes time and a lot of practice. If you can remain a student, absorb the information AND take action by implementing what you’re learning, it’s inevitable that you will be successful in Network Marketing.
